Modeling‐Assisted Design of Thermostable Benzaldehyde Lyases from Rhodococcus erythropolis for Continuous Production of α‐Hydroxy Ketones

The right tool can do the trick: A novel thermostable benzaldehyde lyase from Rhodococcus erythropolis was identified using computer-assisted prediction Tome, and two variants with altered active sites were constructed based on homology models. All new enzyme showed significantly increased thermostability compared only experimentally confirmed Pseudomonas fluorescens to date. different substrate specificities activities in presence of a range co-solvents. most stable variant then immobilized used for continuous production enantiopure benzoin.
